STEM Pre-Teaching Club

Description of Strategy

​In 2016-17 we expanded support for our STEM Pre-teaching Club through MSTI, which provides support and a “STEM Teacher Identity” to undergraduate math and science majors with an interest in K-12 teaching. The STEM Pre-Teaching Club participated in early field experiences in local high-needs schools. These activities included a Family Science Night at a local Spanish immersion elementary school and assistance with an aquaponics project at a local Title 1 high school.​
