Recruitment into Minor in Natural Sciences

​A Minor in Natural Sciences prepares students to pass the CSET Subtests #118 and #119 – which are the CSET Subtests for the FLGS Credential.  We are encouraging all future elementary teachers to consider the minor and adding the FLGS; we are also beginning to recruit from science majors – especially sophomores (a time when there are many “leaks” from the STEM degree pipeline) – for the FLGS credential. In Spring 2017 17 students graduated with a minor in Natural Sciences. As of Fall 2017 there were 42 undergraduates pursuing the Minor in Natural Sciences.​
