​Partnership with Student California Teachers Association (SCTA)

The MSTI Director serves as advisor for the Stan State Student California Teachers Association (SCTA).  A dedicated group of ninety-eight future teachers, SCTA members were an active presence on campus and in the community.  SCTA officers served as members of the Teacher Outreach team, with 4 of the 5 officers serving as TRRP/MSTI student ambassadors.  In fall 2016 SCTA hosted a First Year Teaching Experience event that included guest speakers and a new-teacher panel presentation.  Monthly meetings featured a variety of guest speakers to inform, inspire and motivate.  MSTI supported/sponsored membership fees for 30 new members.
