Outreach Activities and Events

An effective recruitment strategy is the teacher outreach activities and events provided/hosted by Teacher Outreach Ambassadors (Univ. students/future teachers) at CSU Stanislaus.  In 2016/2017 MSTI/TRRP Teacher Outreach Ambassadors hosted or attended eighty-four High School, Community College, University, Middle School, and Community events to promote careers in teaching, the high-need for Math and Science teachers, Stan State Teacher Credentialing Programs, and financial aid incentives, including, the TEACH Grant.  Additionally, Teacher Outreach Ambassadors attend career fairs, table at events, and host middle and high school groups on campus. Through these efforts, we reached 13,211 potential future teachers and submitted more than 1,100 prospective teachers into the Future Teacher Data Base.  Prospective teachers (in the database) received (via e-mail) important information and updates, STAN TEACH NEWS (TRRP newsletter), professional development opportunities, and financial aid information.
