Early Field Experiences for “Pre-Noyce” MSTI Scholarships

The College of Math and Science MSTI leader at CSUSM received a National Science Foundation grant entitled “A Model of Educational Transformation: Developing a Community of Faculty Implementing Next Generation Physical Science and Everyday Thinking.”  Associated with this grant are two undergraduate physics classes that focus on community service field experiences which allows undergraduates to work with Middle School students in after school programs. In addition to the physics classes, both the math department and biology department also haves a courses that include field experiences to give undergraduates early teaching experiences.
