Improving Completion Rates for Credential Students

Description of Strategy

​To impact the number of credentials granted we have focused on enhancing the completion rates for students already in credential programs.  One of the critical bottlenecks for our students occurs during their two quarters of directed teaching.  Because so many of our students need to work to support their education, juggling work and student teaching can have a negative impact on success and completion of this important phase of the credential program.  For the past five years, CPP credential students have benefited from directed teaching Quarter scholarships of $2,500/quarter funded through the efforts of our Partners in Education organization.​
