STEM Early Field Experience Pathway

Cal Poly SLO has a STEM Early Field Experience Pathway. You can't choose what you haven't experienced. This pathway lets undergraduates work with kids, then work with kids as a teacher would, and then work in work in actual classrooms with actual students. Here is our pathway:

Learn-by-doing Lab - Undergraduates teach science and engineering to visit elementary and middle school students

After-school Mentors - Undergraduates teach science and engineering one day a week to the same 3-5 students over a 6-week period in an afterschool program

Classroom tutor/assistant - Undergraduates tutor and assist with labs in AVID, science, and math classes.
